MSC represented at New Zealand’s 54th Quarry NZ conference
Each year the Institute of Quarrying NZ (IOQ), and the Aggregate and Quarry Association of NZ (AQA) hold an annual joint conference, this year the Conference was held in New Plymouth between the 13th and 15th July 2022.
A once per year event where the (AQA) and the (IOQ) do a tremendous job in facilitating interaction, socialising and the sharing of experiences for all those involved in the quarrying industry. This year they exceeded expectations, bringing together a record number of industry professionals to raise standards and share knowledge which are the principles that guide the Institute of Quarrying today.
Held in New Plymouth for 2022 at the TSB Stadium, with the local CBD a 5-minute drive away and the airport a mere 16 minutes from the airport this event promised to be another significant success.

At this year’s conference, Mobile Screening & Crushing NZ showcased the Cobra 230R out front of stadium, gaining a lot of attention from all those visiting the three-day annual event.
Dan Meikle MSC’s General Manager commented;
“We are proud to have had the ever-popular Terex EvoQuip Cobra 230R on display (offered for both hire and sale), it is a great machine. The compact footprint makes for easy transportation and an ideal machine for working in urban areas. The control system is simple to operate and set up time is minimal enabling crushing quickly. The ground level access to the engine, hydraulics, service and refuelling points, make maintenance easy for the operator. No matter what line of work you are in, whether it is Construction & Demolition, Asphalt Recycling, Quarrying or Contract Crushing, the Cobra 230R will enhance your profitability”.
Catrina commented on the 3-day conference;
“While it was a full 3-day programme of events, the highlights took us through to the Welcome Dinner on the Wednesday night held at the Devon hotel, with a well-received and extremely funny MC ‘Steve Davis’ whom has been the MC for the Quarry NZ Conference for the last 20 years. The Thursday event took us to late Russell Vickers tour around his impressive rock garden on York Road, Midhurst NZ. Polished stainless spheres complimented his impressive collection of native and exotic stone.
Catrina Quinn ‘MSC Marketing Manager’ commented:
“Thanks too, to all those who made the conference’s success possible. Special credit to the event hosts and to the show organizers for such a well-run event.”
